I always wanted to express my thought through writing though I’m not very good at that. But I’m obliged to Indian constitution for it has provided right to every citizen freedom of expression and thought and people like me can express views without taking into consideration what other people might think. And I don’t find a better day to do or rather say what I want.
Exactly a year before from today, i.e., on 26th November,2008, the worst ever terrorist attack hit the commercial capital of India, Mumbai. Many people died in the open firing of terrorists at major places of Mumbai.
Now speaking of today, we (the people) are sitting in our homes, or in our office in front of computers, laptops, or spending our time with our families in some holiday destination feeling secure. Some may be aware of today and some might have forgotten. Hats off to our media for constantly reminding people, important days like these. Now the most important question is that have we learnt anything from our past experience. I mean to say the people who lost their lives had they thought before, they would die in such a manner. They must be young people with dreams of doing great someday, people with families waiting for them at home, only son or daughter of a family and many more. This was a consequence of a terrorist activity which is visible. But think once more is this the only thing that is the cause of terror in our country. More people die in road and train accidents in Mumbai and other parts of India, more people die of starvation. I am not undermining the terrorist activities but don’t you think that we aren’t safe anywhere. We have to free ourselves from the terror of terrorists, terror of train accidents, terror of road accident, terror of dying of hunger, terror of getting stuck in traffic, terror of no love, terror of inflation, terror of eve teasers, terror of regionalists, terror of religionists, and the list is endless. The effect of these terrors is unprecedented.
We have to pledge to end terrors of all kinds and make our presence count by living as if it is the last day of our life. This can be done if we can change at least one life i.e. of our OWN, the world around will itself change. Let us remember today not as a day when so many innocent people lost their lives but as a day when we have transformed our lives for a better tomorrow, a terror free tomorrow.

Nice views on living peacfully and happily. Really liked the idea of changing yourself to bring the change in mass. But what do you expect from those sick people who are the real cause of the whole drama. Their destructive mind never wants to change. Why not to change the other side, who are watering the root of terrorism, whatever type of it may be. Why not to hit there? Why to live with a chicken heart ? Is it the right way to let them hit and for us to find better ways to be happy? Aren't we accepting terrorism by that. The idea to change everyone is really appreciable but what then? what if those conditions come to us again? sorry for these bunch of questions but these all are instataneous which I suppose, every indian would like to ask.
ReplyDeleteI don't think, " those sick people..." (especially the terrorist of outside India origin) are really a problem for us. If every Indian try to be honest to himself and to the country, those people can't even step a foot inside our land. There are always some help they are getting from some of the traitors...
ReplyDeleteSo MORAL of this discussion:
We should just try to improve ourselves.
Ya to add to it. These terrorists are able to execute their tasks only with the help of local people. Otherwise it may not be possible for them to enter in a country and it is the people here who provide them all the facilities and comfort so that they manage to perform such horrendous task. Its the people who have to decide their priority whether its their country that comes first or their religion or region or whatever.
ReplyDeleteAND THANK U GUYS FOR COMMENTING ON MY FIRST ENDEAVOUR. LOOKING FORWARD FOR MANY MORE.
